The ‘Know Religion’ project started life as a collection of songs exploring the roots and reasons for religion and the implications of our varied religious traditions.

Over time the concept has developed and broadened its scope into a multi-media chamber opera incorporating video, narrators, singers, butoh inspired dancers and a contemporary instrumental ensemble.

The work is a comment on the destructive tendencies, restrictive practices and power centered concerns that often find voice through the guise and dogma of many of the worlds organized religions.

It is a call for an evolutionary shift in our understanding of what it is to be spiritually aware as human beings in this 21st century world of our making.
